Best Seller! This 28-page bundle contains over 75 creative student activities to use with any piece of literature--novels, short stories, poetry. It includes several pages of templates and worksheets that are ready to go--just print & hand out to your students. NEWLY UPDATED with additional handouts & activities!
These activities can be used for any secondary age group--they aren't too young for seniors in high school, nor are they too old for 4th or 5th graders. The activities I included are those that are relevant to today's student: one who is tech-savvy and plugged-in to the rest of the world.
They are great for every student; however, they can be especially useful for reluctant readers who want more hands-on activities AND advanced readers who need additional engaging and motivational assignments. This is one of my top selling items and is in the top 10 on the overall site for best selling.
Newsweek printed a story last summer on the importance of creativity in education. Promoting creative activities increases students' problem-solving & critical-thinking skills, which, in turn, makes them smarter. They need creative activities to grow and learn. This bundle will help you not only with literature, but are adaptable for teaching many content areas!

I've been teaching at my current public high school for ten years, and have a total of 14 years experience. Most of my experience is teaching high school English and journalism classes; however, for several years I taught an art history class. I teach all levels--from honors students to special education students; therefore, I'm constantly modifying my assignments to fit my students' needs.
