Using thematic photos presented in a PowerPoint slide show format, students in grades 8 through 12 are sure to become fully engaged in this creative writing unit. The process is six-step in design: chart and analyze photos, select photos of greatest interest, map the story, follow a rubric for writing with a mini-guide to composing dialog, self-evaluate the finished product, and evaluate 5 stories written by peers. Both the PowerPoint Presentation of story spark photos and the PDF six-step unit are included in one zipped file. If you have difficulty opening it, please contact me.
