This lesson uses powerpoint, graphic organizers and classroom discussion to teach students how and why Canada gained independence. The lesson gives a little background as to who the first Europeans in Canada were (vikings). There is also an activator using a popular movie the kids will know. They always get excited over this one. This lesson was written to Georgia State Standard SS6H4b.
