This activity is designed to fit around a lesson on the Holocaust. It is not a lesson in itself. Essentially, students are given the names of actual Holocaust victims prior to your lesson. At the conclusion of the lesson, students find out whether or not they survived and if they perished, when and where.

Yes. It's designed to fit around a daily lesson. Pass them out at the beginning of class, give your lesson on the holocaust, and at the end of class, let them know if they survived. The sheets are separated by boys and girls and I like to pass out the strips like name tags.

There should be a list of names stating whether or not they survived and a few printouts with the names and ages of the children.

Hand out names to students at the beginning of class, teach your lesson, and as they leave class, let them know whether or not they survived. I like to try and call the students by the name they receive during that days lesson. It's a very powerful activity. I have kids from last year who still know their person's name.
