Your students will absolutely love this interactive sight word game. Students take turns drawing cards and reading the sight words. When a student chooses a Croaked! card, all their cards must be put back in the pile. The player with the most cards at the end of time wins. This activity allows for many response opportunities. Great for both literacy centers and small group instruction. Contains 220 Dolch sight words from the Dolch sight word lists 1-9.
This activity is aligned with First Grade Common Core State Standard 1.RFS.3g and Second Grade Common Core State Standard 2.RFS.3f Recognize and read grade appropriate irregularly spelled words

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a RtI Coordinator working closely with K-3rd grade teachers providing hands-on support and professional development in the area of reading. My focus is using assessment data to guide classroom instruction as well as intervention for at-risk learners. Make, Take & Teach is my way of providing teachers with the materials they need for their small group intervention. Most activities can also be used in literacy centers. Teacher intervention kits contain 15 activities (already printed for you in color and on 90lb cardstock) which align to one of the Big Five Ideas and commonly adminstered assessments (e.g. DIBELS Next).
