This strategy gets students thinking about an issue, idea, item, or topic at all levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. This strategy can be good as a post-learning activity, or to build background on a familiar topic before connecting that to new learning.
Believe it or not, I have used this strategy for students in grades 2-8, and I know it works well in high school as well. It's all in the presentation, my friends!
Includes instructions on how to implement at all levels, a "water" cubing activity to build background before a lesson on the Water Cycle, a blank template for a teacher to fill in their own questions, and a general cubing template. The blank template is set up as a PDF form so you can just complete & print!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Before coming to Maryland, where I currently teach grades K-5, focusing mostly on 2nd and 4th, I was in North Carolina teaching ESL Language Arts primarily to grades 6-8. While working on my MS in ESL Education at the University of Tennessee, I did student teaching with grades K-8 in Sevierville, TN. I have also been invited to Busan, S. Korea, twice to conduct 2 week teacher training seminars on Content Based English Instruction for English language learners, and I am SIOP trained as well. In addition to my MS, I also have a degree in Spanish and Mass Communications.
