Are you looking for a complete set of Common Core posters that includes Math, Language Arts, and Science and Social Studies standards (specific to your state)? I will customize these 2nd Grade Common Core Posters to match your state's standards. These posters allow you to display the learning goals in your classroom in words that your second graders will understand! The posters are unique due to the fact that the standards cards are two-sided: one side is the exact standard written and coded for your records, the other side is the same standard written in "kid-friendly" language so that your students will be able to understand. (NOTE: I've taken great care in trying to preserve the meaning of the standard when I changed it into terms that the students can understand. I kept most verbage the same and used synonyms for more challenging words to help second graders understand!)

I purchased these at the beginning of the school year before I actually had taken my common core training.......I have been unable to use them as the common core standards are not the Florida standards although the seller and I had agreed on that......before purchasing check to make sure things correlate to your particular state.

Make sure you do these two things: On a MAC or PC, install the latest version of ADOBE READER (link is below). Then, open the file with ADOBE READER. On a MAC, make sure to "Open With" ADOBE READER and NOT Preview. If it's still blurry, that's because you are still opening it with Preview. Hopefully this takes care of the problem.

Do all of the "I Can" statements show the kid icons doing or having something next to them that goes along with that standard? For instance, the standard about the arrays, does it show an array on it so the kids can see an example of an array to be reminded? My kids definitely need things like this.

The Math and L.Arts posters are aligned with the new Common Core standards. South Carolina has adopted these standards, so they will align with your curriculum. If you purchase the customized posters, I will align the Science and SS posters with South Carolina.

I just purchased your common core second grade posters that are kid friendly. Please adjust the science and social studies. If you don't mind check out the math benchmarks also. Minnesota did not exactly go with common core because they thought ours were more rigorous. They are extremely close though. Let me know what you think.

I downloaded your file 2nd Grade Common Core Standards Posters - "Kid Friendly." Only the common core standard side prints out. The other side (Kid Friendly) just has black lines. How do I make the black lines go away and just the kid friendly words show up???

Thanks for purchasing these posters! The black bars are a simple fix that involves your computer, not the document itself. The black bars are showing up because you do not have the most updated version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer or you have a Mac. If you go to your purchases page, you will see the word "blurry" flashing. There is a link there to download the newest version of Adobe for free. If you have a Mac, go to your downloads folder. Open your the file with Adobe, not your default reader. Rest assured the file is not corrupted and does not contain a virus. It probably just was created in a computer with a newer version of Adobe or Word than you have on your computer. Follow the steps above and it should open fine. Please let me know if you need anything else.
