This workbook contains 2 to 3 activities a month for students to do with the silent reading. The activities include: summaries, predictions, character mapping, and drawing a favorite scene and write a caption. It also has chart for students to keep track of the amount time that they read and the number of books that they read. I hand this out at the beginning of the year and do not collect it until they have entered the next year. It is a way to keep track of what students are reading during the silent reading times without doing lenthy book reports. It is set-up to be due or viewed by the teacher at the end of the month. I usually bind this and use cardstock for the cover.
