Individuals with autism, or those diagnosed on the spectrum, classically have difficulty reading and expressing emotions.

This entertaining game facilitates that process by making the practice of basic expressive and receptive feelings a game.

Best played in small groups, this game works with all ages and can be played using either the cards that come with the package, or those YOU create with the blank template.

IMPORTANT: The reward for the winner must be a desirable MOTIVATOR!

I just purchased the emotion bingo and did not receive the emotion picture cards, it only had many BINGO cards with the emotion words on them. Please let me know how I can receive the pictures. If not available, please let me know how I can get a refund. Thank you.

PLEASE read the directions. There are no picture cards involved. Students pick a card, then act out or tell a story that appropriately illustrates that emotion. If done well, according to a non-playing supervisor, the player marks the square on their bingo card. Other players, in turn, must each say something different to empathize, i.e. “I am so sorry you’re depressed. Do you want to talk about it?”, or “When you’re depressed, it makes me feel sad too”, or “That’s too bad you’re depressed, but tomorrow is another day”, etc. Each player who gives an appropriate response (according to the supervisor) gets to mark that square, too! The next player pulls a card from the bag, and the game continues in the same manner…. until someone gets BINGO!

I hope this clarifies your question.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked with students with learning disabilities since 1975, concentrating on transition to college for high school students with LD/ADD since 1975. I served as a college Learning Specialist for 13 years during which I saw frequent and unnecessary failure among this cohort. As a result, I have become passionate about PROACTIVELY teaching special education students in high school (and their parents) how to do all they can to set themselves for college success prior to crossing the threshold. Started a subscription list for parents of high school students with learning differences at http://www.conquercollegewithld.com
