This is great! We needed to spice up calendar - it was drudgery but the kids are really into it.
I wish I had read the packet better as I didn't need all the "extras" for calendar (months, etc). I would have gotten the smaller bundle.

The Spanish teacher at my school would then be able to translate it and type it straight into the right page. We would need to replace everything written in english to spanish. Hi there! I purchased the calendar bundle at the beginning of the year and I use it every day with my first graders. They love it! I wanted to ask if you would ever consider creating the bundle with a different pattern or color scheme and if so, how much would you charge? I have a jungle/animal print theme in my classroom and would love your awesome calendar to match :)

On the tally card for the calendar pieces, I have noticed that one group of the tallies has five dots instead of four? Is there anyway that you can adjust this and reupload it? I have tried and tried to explain this to my kindergarteners but they still always get confused. Thanks! Joni

I keep all the pages in a binder. They flip to a new page each day. It does take time and patience in the beginning, but they are really good at it now! We usually sing an easy song (like days of the week, months of the year, or count by 10s) while the children find the page. There is a page for each month of the year, yes. However, at the end of the packet, you will find the same pages that are programmable - so if you want to spend another month on a particular page, you could just type in that month at the top. For example, I am using the October pages for November - I'm just a bit behind. Next month, I will use the November pages in December - I just typed in the month that I need at the top. Make sense?

Hi! I am having the same problem printing the "e" - October was fine, but the November pages are all missing part of the "e" DId the other buyer get it fixed with the update? I purchased after she did and mine is still not working.....I have the latest version of Adobe...any suggestions?

Yes, there is one page per day - but of course you will only need pages for the days you are in school -- not Saturday or Sunday or any days off. If paper is an issue for you, you could have them use the pages in a page protector with a dry erase marker, or simply do the calendar book one time per week. I have found that having everything on one page makes more sense to the children and it is a more cohesive daily review than to have each skill on a separate page. The children keep everything they need for calendar in a 3 ring binder. It would be your choice to send the pages home or keep them. Some people might use the calendar page as a center activity or as morning work.

Last year I got the calendar pages and I LOVED them! I was so excited to see them again this year. I must say I was a little disappointed. Sorry! I really liked last year's format better. I try to conserve paper and not have a new page for each day. Any chance the monthly calendar pages could be updated for this year's dates? Thanks for all the great work you do. I love following you!

I changed the way I did calendar book about mid-year last year. If you prefer the old method, I suggest you purchase Kim Adsit's calendar book set - those pages are more like how I used to do calendar. This method just works better for me and my class. Everything that I make I use in my classroom with my kiddos. Unfortunately, I just don't have the extra time to update/create something that I don't use. Hope you can understand that. :)

I actually start in September. We only have 6 school days in August this year. I like to show them the routine first and get them used to it. I'll do the page on my whiteboard (you could use a document camera or overhead too). It does take a LOT of patience in the beginning, and not everyone will get it. But, with time and patience, they will get there! Promise! I'll blog about it more once we get started again! But, just take it slow, and know that there may be some frustrating days!

You could definitely project the student pages on your smart board. The calendar pieces itself are intended for a bulletin board. However, with some creative cutting/pasting/screen shots you could make it interactive for your board.

Hi! I just bought your calendar bundle and love it. Could you please explain the daily domino? I am not sure I understand how it relates to the rest of the calendar. Are you supposed to be showing the number of the day, date, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will just have a selection of dominoes - you could have it in a bag, box, whatever. Just pull one out each day...count the dots and have the kiddos draw the dots on their page. It will help with subitizing, number recognition, and counting. As the pages progress, you would add the dots together to find the sum, cover one side of the dice to find the missing addend, and so on. If you have any other questions, let me know!

I love this product! I have already printed everything off and I was wondering if anyone else has had trouble with the letter "e" not printing properly I only get the top half of the letter and not the bottom... On the computer it shows up just fine but when I go to print it out the "e" in both parts of the bundle don't print properly? I have tried to print from a Mac, PC and have sent the documents to three different printers. I'm not sure whats going on and I checked to make sure my adobe was updated and I just can't figure it out. It's very strange as literally everything else prints off perfectly! If you know any tricks or anything else I should try to do I would really appreciate it! Thanks! :)

Taking a screen shot and printing worked!!!! Thank you soo much for the tip! I was trying soo hard to figure it out on my own but nothing was working! I'm not quite sure why it works because it still prints in the exact same font and everything but I'm just so happy it worked! Thanks again for your fabulous products and help! :)

I have down loaded this twice now. It shows up fine on the computer screen, but when I print it is cutting off the edge/border of every page and some calendar pieces are printing with black background. I unfortunately left it to print over night the first time so I have 100 pages of wasted cardstock and ink. Even with reprinting it is still doing the same thing. Please advise.

I am not a technology expert by any means, but maybe check your printer settings?? Every printer is different unfortunately. Perhaps you need to download a new driver for your printer? Maybe the TpT help desk can help you?

I absolutely LOVE my purchase. I do wish that all the days of the week were on one page so that I could print multiple copies without printing the skill pieces over and over again. I ended up cutting and pasting and making copies on my own, but that would have saved me a lot of trouble.

All 12 months are included. The skills do not change from May, June, July though. (there are no new skills introduced, just practicing and reviewing the old skills!) There are also programmable pages at the end so you could type in a specific month to "do over" again. :)
