This is a fabulous packet of worksheets designed around the CST ELA standards for 2nd grade. BUT this packet is also ideal for advanced 1st graders or 3rd graders who need to review these important skills. The packet includes
* Matrix of standards covered on CST
* Correlation chart between CST and Common Core standards
* 30 pages of Daily Language Checks! Each page has a story (fiction, nonfiction, poem, diagram, etc.) on a fun and engaging topic. There is a question for each cluster on the CST (Vocabulary Development, Reading Comprehension, Literary Response and Analysis, Writing Strategies, and Language Conventions.
* Each page can be competely independently, as homework, or with the whole class.
