I have been doing problem of the day for a couple of years now in my class but wanted to change it up a bit. This resource is what I was looking for. It was great to have something ready to go at a moments notice and the flexibility to choose what problem to do next. A required order was not necessary. I love this resource.

Great, I teach a number of year groups of varying abilities and these look great, for the people who say they are a little easy for their kids, well you can always use these as a starter activity that leads into something a bit more concept building, I will certainly be doing this from time to time with some of my older students, thanks Laura!

Sorry, but I don't have plans for any more Daily Math Puzzlers above Level D! As students get older, the problems become more complex and it's more difficult to apply this page format to those problems. Also, I don't have any teaching experience at those levels and I try to stick to what I know!

Thanks for your feedback, but I'm not sure that this level is the one that you want for 3rd grade. You might want to take a look at the other levels to see if they are more appropriate. Level D is for upper elementary or lower middle school.

That was a bonus file and you can only open it if you have Microsoft Publisher. Can you find a computer that has that program? If not, don't worry about it. You don't really need it. Thanks for your purchase.

Hi! Did you realize that you can preview the entire book online? Just click the Download Preview button to see the whole thing as a secure PDF. You can't print it, but you can read it. I think the best thing for you to do is to look at the problems and decide if they are appropriate for your students. I'm sure they can solve them without a calculator, and usually a calculator isn't that much help unless you know HOW to solve the problem.

Can't find the place to rate this. I do like this very much. I really like the rubric that you have developed. Our students have a Constructed Response on our LEAP test (Louisiana) where they must show all their work and justify their answers. They are graded with a rubric. I also like the check list to make sure that they have done each of the steps to solve AND show how they solved the problems. Thanks for your awesome products!!
