Here is a quick, easy, and ever present means of ensuring that your students continue to practice the skill of telling time. This review activity takes very little time away from your regular teaching and allows for frequent review without interrupting the flow of your regular math curriculum. The best part is students love it!
Simply copy, cut out, and distribute to your students. At random times throughout the day/week, call out, Time Check! Students stop what they are doing to check the time and record it on their individual slips. The labels a.m. and p.m. have been included to reinforce this concept as well.
This activity is aligned with CCSS Measurement and Data 2.MD.7 (Work with time and money: Tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes, using a.m. and p.m.).
I love this! What a great idea to help students really understand how to tell time with a regular clock.

What a great idea! Seems like students rarely have the opportunity to use an analog clock. This is an easy way for them to have regular practice since every classroom in my school still uses the "old fashioned" clocks!
