"This desk is designed for a lady with large drawers and thick legs." Yikes! This fun, four-slide PowerPoint serves as a center or station in a middle or high school English Language Arts classroom. Students struggling with dangling or misplaced modifiers are grouped while other students are working on run-ons, fragments, or spelling (for example). The first page(slide) gives instructions to the students, the second explains modifiers, the third offers fun examples, and the fourth provides an entertaining but practical application of the editing skill. The author, Angie Kratzer, has created other centers, and they will be posted soon!

When my middle school students write they misplace modifiers on a regular basis. They "get it" when I explain what they just said. I think that when I use this game it will be a fun way to make them more aware! Thanks a lot!
