Data notebooks are an amazing tool to help your students track their progress throughout the school year! Each assessment chart also has an associated graph (on the same or following page), so students can easily see their LEAPS of learning! Oh My Gosh! This is beyond perfect! Just what I needed and exactly what I would have created if had the time to do it myself! I love it. This was a perfect tool to share with parents during conference time this year. The kids were able to lead the conferences because they KNEW how they were doing and exactly WHERE they were progressing and where they needed to grow more. Amazing! Thank you so much!

we just began using data notebooks last year. We are finding it time consuming to have students colour in their charts for their reading levels and sight word recognition. Anything you do that speeds this up?

Thanks for your note!! Here's a suggestion for you: outline the section that the child is to color, then they just need to color it in. Once all the pages are outlined, the child can go back to their seat to fill it in, while you are assessing the next child! Hope this helps!! Karen :o)

I love your Data Notebook! It looks wonderful! I am actually in the middle of creating one myself because my system is going to implement them this year. I think you may have just saved me a lot of trouble! (If only I had found this sooner!) Does this packet include anything for students to monitor/track their behavior and/or attendance? Also, are you planning any kind of sale anytime soon? It is sitting in my wish list cart right now but I don't want to start thinking about data notebooks just yet but I know summer is going by too quickly!
