Common Core: 6.EE.2c, 6.NS.3 This motivating activity gets students out of their seats.
It has basic order of operations without exponents. Each card only has them do two operations with decimals.
The teacher puts the 10 question cards around the room. They each start at a different card. Once they get the answer, they will know which card to go to next.
Each card also has a letter. At the end, they unscramble the letters to spell a secret word.
You may also get this as part of a bundle.
Common Core Standards
6.EE.2c Perform arithmetic operations, including those involving whole number exponents, in the conventional order when there are no parentheses to specify a particular order (Order of Operations).
6.NS.3 Fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation.
