For Pi Day (3/14), I have my students derive pi using a ruler, yarn, and circular food. I pass out cookies, crackers, and jelly rings and the worksheet. Students measure the circumference and diameter for each item, and divide. Their answers should be close to pi. *NOTE: There are 2 handouts per page. Cut in half before distributing.
