This EBook was written by ten teachers who spent four days together in summer '08 writing, inspiring, listening and sharing stories along the World's Longest Yard Sale. Marjorie Weiffenbach, the leader of this unique group called Writers On Wheels, provided prompts from her classroom to the writers on this trip. The result is a book that includes five prompts (divided into chapters) and the response of each writer to that prompt.
Also, each writer includes an explanation of their inspiration and often a picture as well. This 146 page book is designed for anyone who enjoys a quick read from a multitude of voices and perspectives, but was truly designed with teachers in mind. We want teachers to share these stories with students and explore all the ways to be inspired. Also available is a set of fifty lesson plans to accompany the pieces in the book.
