These notes have been modified to help students better understand the achievements that led to the development of civilization. Students can undersand the essence of these achievements without accessing a textbook, which may be too difficult for them to read.

I have been a special education teacher for the past eight years. I am a very strong supporter of creating inclusive educational experiences for my students. However, students need access to instructionally appropriate materials in order to benefit from such an environment. I have always been frustrated by the lack of resources available to special education teachers who are supporting students in such rigorous educational environments. My lessons, outlines and study guides reflect years of work centering on creating positive and meaningful educational experiences for my children.
