Seller's Description

Diverse learners will acquire knowledge about pH, the water cycle and acid rain. Through an investigation of how acid rain impacts metal and limestone, students will develop recommendations for minimizing the adverse effects of acid rain on humans, environments and ecosystems and communicate their findings in letters to the editors of local newspapers. This lesson addresses Illinois and national learning standards in Science, Social Science, Mathematics, Health and English Language Arts. The lesson plan is 10 pages long, and is comprised of 25 steps--in addition to the anticipatory set and conclusion--that can be divided into several mini lessons. Michelle McFarland-McDaniels includes reflections and recommendations for differentiation with this lesson plan.
