I wrote these math story problems for my 1st graders to go along with the book "The Napping House" by Don and Audrey Wood.
This download contains 3 sets of differentiated story problems (A,B,C). There are 8 problems on each page. The problems are all centered around the number of feet on the bed at different points in the book.
Sets A and B have similar problems (with B having larger digits or a 3rd addend). Set C is the most difficult.
The story problems are outlined with dashed lines for the students to cut and paste if you choose.
For a class of 20, I usually make 15 copies of each set onto different colored paper. I then "assign" each student a certain set based on their readiness level.
NEW - I have added 6 sheets...These are the same problems described above, but instead of dashed lines for students to cut, each problem has a work space (with a border around it).
