This freebie is a sample of my Diggin Up Dino Subtraction Unit. The unit is differentiated to meet the various readiness levels of your students and also addresses the needs of your kinesthetic learners who need to move. This freebie meets the Common Core Standard K.0A.5 - Fluently add and subtract to 5.
Teachers will laminate all the attached pieces. Then cut out the subtraciton sentence pieces and place them around the room. Students use the recording sheet to record the sentence and solve it using the built in number line or other teacher provided manipulatives.
If you enjoy this activity and are interested in other differentiated activities that meet the Common Core, please visit my TpT store or my blog at http://differentiatedkindergarten.blogspot.com
Thanks

My Kids are going to LOVE this! All 5 of my self-contained students with Autism love dinosaurs, and I must say, I LOVE that the recording sheet has a numberline! How genius?! Thank you so much for sharing! This is going to make many smiles :)
