Who doesn't love coloring Easter eggs?? These Dippin' Eggs will help students write CVC, CCVC, CVCC, CCCVC, and even some silent e words in a FUN way!!
Directions: I use these to help students stretch out words. I
use them during word work in my guided reading/writing lessons. Make
enough copies for each student to have their own sound
box. Laminate and cut out. Have students write the words
with dry erase markers and erase with eraser or old sock. The words
are dictated by the teacher. Stretch them out slowly. Do not use
words that have silent letters or irregular words for this activity.
When using the silent e sound boxes, have students fold back the
silent e. Have them write a word such as "cut". Then have them flip
up the new word with the silent e and read the word "cute".
I have also included some possible words that can be used
with this activity.
