This is a FREE list of suggestions of how you might use the Spangler's Scrutiny cards with small groups. Spangler's Scrutiny is a reading comprehension questions and answers game based on the 4 story elements of setting, characters, plot and theme. There are 19 different sets of cards based on 19 different novels.

I am in my 18th year of teaching. I taught for ten years in the Orange County (Florida) Public School system at primarily the sixth grade level. During that time I taught Language Arts, remedial reading, social studies and exceptional student education (aka special education). Then for 6 years I taught sixth grade Math, Language Arts and Social Studies to sixth graders in a private, independent school. Now I am back in public school and am teaching students with Special Needs.
