Msschwendi(c) re: Multiple Intelligences Project using Short Stories & their authors
Hi Elizabeth,
This sounds interesting and I am just about to give my multiple intelligences test. How may pages is the overall document? Which short stories does the plan call for? Please let me know. ;o)
Thank you,
Laura

Hi! It's actually only 4 pages - Page 1 explains the concept and gives objectives. Page 2 gives a timeline/checklist of the steps that the students must complete in order to complete the project in a timely fashion. Page 2 also gives suggested short stories that you could change. I have used "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Necklace", "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calavaras County", "The Monkey's Paw", "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", "Charles", The Gift of the Magi", "The Ambitious Guest" & "Harrison Burgeron" - but you can use ANY short story. This is because the projects are based on the multiple intelligences. That's where page 3 comes in. There are 5 entry points (ways to access the intelligences) and there are two project options for each entry point. For example, the Quantitative Entry point is for the Logical & Spatial Learners. They will group together and there will be a choice of a timeline or an article - both suited to someone that is logically/spatially inclined. The 4th page is the rubric.
Please let me know if you have more questions. Thanks!
