In order to help my students to solve discount with tax percent problems, I developed a worksheet with guiding questions that lead students through the steps needed to accurately solve the word problem. The guiding questions help students understand that solving a percent problem involves several steps. Ideal for English language learners, low math skill and special education students. Included are two word problems with corresponding answer key and a fill in general problem for additional practice.
