This is a 12 page lab packet using pickles in science. I do these labs during our plant unit. The labs consist of:
Dissect a Pickle (external and internal steps)
Microscopic Views of a Pickle
Pickle Questions to Research
Pickle Jar Label Analysis
Pickle Taste Test Lab and Bar Graph
You will need some jars of pickles, toothpicks, plastic knives, and paper plates.
My kids have a blast with these labs!

I have taught for 16 years in a large, urban, public school district (I have taught in three different schools) and I LOVE it! I taught self-contained, multi-age gifted class for past seven years. Prior to this assignment, I taught regular ed 4th and 5th grades. I am now in an at-risk school teaching 5th grade! I am so lucky to have such great students, past and present!
