Being able to accurately estimate is not only an important Math skill for school, but is important in daily life. This skill is practiced while completing this fun activity.
Students will determine the best answer for the division problem they have chosen in the game. One of the choices on each slide is an answer is not here, so students are practicing with that option in preparation for mandated testing.
The division problems deal with whole numbers. The estimation answers are found by using compatible numbers or by rounding.
This is a great PowerPoint activity for the whole class using a Smart Board or projector, but also can be used on one computer allowing two students to play the game.
