This activity breaks learning about DNA structure into stations. The first is a computer station...have students google the "Drag and Drop DNA" for an internet tutorial and practice. You will also need some physical DNA models for students to observe as well as some DNA tinker toy pieces. I order a kit from WARDS where students can build a DNA molecule. Its a fun way for students to learn about DNA structure in different ways to hit their learning styles.
There are 4 stations set up for this activity and 1 conclusion type question. To complete it one would need a computer for the students to use, a classroom DNA model, a textbook, and tinker toys (or craft materials would work).
