This is a great way to introduce dollars to students. I have one for each of the coins also. I start by giving the students a hand held magnifying glass. This allows them to examine the dollar. We then brainstorm things they saw either as a class or in partners or table groups. After making a class list the students then have to write their own list of things they saw on their dollar. They also do a sketch of the dollar.
