Downtime is the enemy of teachers everywhere. These activities will help you say Down with Downtime and are intended for teachers and subs who have completed the lesson plans for the day in a given subject, but still have at least 10-15 minutes left.
Down with Downtime activities are broken down by topic based on the Common Core State Standards for Writing, but not grade level. The grade levels that include the standards are in the titles on each page. Please, use your judgement for what is appropriate for your students. And many of them focus on Higher Order Thinking Skills.
