In this activity, students create their own story problems by drawing an operation card, number card, and setting card, and then writing a story problem using what they drew. This product was designed after reading Debbie Diller's Math Work Stations book but could be used for a variety of math centers or activities. This can also be adapted to multiple grade levels by removing the multiplication and division operation cards.
I love your products! You are the first seller I search when I am looking for something new. Thank you for sharing your creativity.

Love this pack :) My mac is having problems with the font (it's ok, I can open it in Adobe). Just to make life easier for me, could you tell me what the name of the font is so I can purchase it please? Thanks for a great resource!
Great products! Memory book is a must have. I already added to my future wishlist.

I absolutely love this idea and can't wait to use it!
This is working great for partner centers in my classroom. I have added some three digit numbers to the blank cards. I love the rigor of the students creating their own word/story problems!
Thanks a bunch!!

Thank you! Love that the students will think of it like a game. Thanks for having blank cards to modify for any ability level. This activity is very flexible for different grades.

I like the idea of approaching addition and subtraction practice using story problems the children make up themselves. I think it will encourage them to continue looking at problem solving ideas all around them. Thanks!

I absolutely love the creative license this gives kids! Thanks so much for sharing it!
Hi there
Could you give me an example of a story?
So students would choose e.g the number 24 and the operation + and the setting beehive...
Sorry, I think I am a little confused. It looks wondeful but I am not quite sure how to use it.
I'm so sorry! I don't have one with smaller numbers. I did include a few blank card that you can use.
Thanks!

Hi there! Thank you so much for creating this for free! My team wanted to find out if you could offer it in black and white. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!
I can't change the graphics. Have you tried printing it in grayscale. That's what I do for anything that I have to print multiples copies of, because I know color ink is expensive.

Hi Ashleigh, I am having trouble downloading Draw a Story Problem, would you please be able to send it to me? I love your stuff. Thanks,
