The following diagram is intended to be blown up and use as a classroom poster. As a quick reference it helps students organize their writing in a coherent way. It is a chart diagramming an essay broken up into three parts: Introduction, Body and Conclusion. The describes the Introduction Paragraph as including the main idea of the subject matter. Then, it describes the Body of Paragraphs as providing specific details supporting the Introduction paragraph. Finally, it describes the Conclusion Paragraph as summarizing the body of the essay.
