Providing students with a unit organizer to help frame an upcoming unit is very helpful. I included a study guide for this unt on minerals. This material aligns with the New York State Regents curriculum for Earth Science.

I have been a special education teacher for the past eight years. I am a very strong supporter of creating inclusive educational experiences for my students. However, students need access to instructionally appropriate materials in order to benefit from such an environment. I have always been frustrated by the lack of resources available to special education teachers who are supporting students in such rigorous educational environments. My lessons, outlines and study guides reflect years of work centering on creating positive and meaningful educational experiences for my children.
