This is an Easter version of our popular "Sentence Maker" resource.
It is a collection of worksheets that will help all your students with the reading and writing process.
There are four versions of each of the six worksheets - so 24 in total.
Cut & Paste Version - for your newest learners, that are only beginning to understand the concept of a word, and a sentence and how we put them together to make meaning. Each worksheet has a sentence that has been written, and a set of words to glue into the correct order to match the model.
Trace - for students that have a good understanding of words and sentences, and are ready to learn to write themselves.
Copy - for students who are able to form most letters of the alphabet correctly and are learning to copy print from models.
Write - for students beginning to write independently and who can try to sound-out and write their own words. Two blank lines are on each worksheet, and students create their own sentences.
Help children to: attend to print, discover what a word looks like, understand that a sentence is made up of words, understand that word order is important, we read and write from left to write, we need spaces between our words, punctuation is important in writing and reading, they are able to make their own sentence "story" and read it back, text and pictures are related.
This file features teaching tips and twenty four worksheets that you are able to print and photocopy for your own classroom use only.
Ask From the Pond a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.
