This Easter/Holy Week presentation is animated so the pictures will appear before the Spanish words, making it useful to review before a quiz or a test. Throughout this presentation, there are several interactive partner and group activities to encourage students to use the language while learning about the unique cultural traditions. Also included are a variety of sound effects and music (over 15 sounds and songs are embedded) and a link for a cascarones video!
The presentation is divided into two parts - Easter traditions in the United States and traditions in Hispanic countries. Please feel free to modify this presentation to best meet the needs of your classes and students.

My kids loved this during Easter last year. This power point worked very well in the public school I was teaching in because it made it very easy to teach the important traditions without crossing any religious boundaries. Thank you for your thorough materials.

I agree with the previous comment. It had too much religious material in it (even though I teach in a Catholic school) I though it was going to show more common traditions, but it only delat with religious.

We included several slides about holy week, los penitentes, etc. because of the cultural/religious significance this holiday has in many Spanish-speaking countries. However, you can delete slides and modify this ppt to fit your students' needs, personal taste, and levels if you wish. Please contact us with further questions if you need help with deleting whichever slides you do not like.
