Every teacher wants to have their kids remember what an amazing year they've had together. I created this memory book as a fun and easy way to remember our year together. I printed my books on card stock paper. I bound my books with ribbon so that they look more creative but a simple binding comb would work as well. I chose to use card stock so that on the back of the pages, the kids could glue "souvenirs" (helper chart person, lunch sign up person, extra name "stuff" around the room, awards, etc.) from class to the inside of their books. I used graphics from scrappindoodles.com to create this memory book template. I love their graphics because they are colorful and cute!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for twelve years. My first three years were in a fourth grade classroom. I have spent the last nine years teaching third grade. While in third grade, I have had the opportunity to train as a Literacy Coach with the Literacy Collaborative at Lesley University. As a Literacy Coach, I've worked with teachers in grades 3-6 to support their teaching of literacy. I have led many professional development sessions on reading workshop, writing workshop, poetry workshop and word study for my colleagues. I had the opportunity to teach a session at one of the Literacy Collaborative's summer workshops. I'm hoping to share my literacy experience with other dedicated teachers.
