This was a great addition to our Author's Purpose unit. The kids loved the pie idea and I've had to add more sentence strips because the kids want to play that game all the time. We divided into teams (persuasive, informative, and entertain) and laid the strips out. The students raced to see who could find all their strips first. We've really reused this unit over and over in so many ways! Thank you so much for sharing!
