This quiz was written to test the material on my ecology unit called,
Ecosystems and the Biosphere: Biomes of the World.
This document can be used as a quiz, as a homework assignment or as test review. The document contains 44 questions. There are 24 fill in the blank questions and 20 matching questions. Answer key is provided.
This quiz is appropriate for biology or life science students in grades 7 - 12. I use this quiz as a quick and easy check for understanding and to make sure that my students are keeping up with their nightly studying.

1. Biomes: Definition of biome, adaptations of organisms to a biome, tolerance levels of organisms.
2. Overview of the major terrestrial biomes: tundra, taiga, chaparral, temperate deciduous forest, temperate grasslands, deserts, savannas, tropical rain forest.
