This 3 part package is a great introduction to the basics of editorial writing. It includes an overhead with terms, explanations, etc regarding the editorial page and editorials more specifically. It also includes a simple worksheet to aid students in their note taking. I use the quiz at the end of the package the next day to reinforce students' learning.
These documents are useful in any newspaper/article unit or in a formal writing unit.
