This activity consists of a pattern to create a 2 dimensional “ballot box” pocket folder that will be used to store index cards, as well as a set of questions/labels for the index cards. Students will answer questions about the election process, the presidency, or other questions that the teacher chooses (question labels are reprogrammable) on the index cards. The cards can be used as the basis for a written report or as the report itself. They can also be used as a study guide or as an assessment following the completion of a unit on government or elections. The pattern can be printed onto 8.5 x 11 cardstock, which is folded in half and stapled to make a pocket folder for the index cards. The index card labels can be printed onto copy paper. The final dimensions of the project are 7 in. x 4.5 in. by Rebecca Bettis
