These are emergency lesson plans I created that involve students doing their own independent reading and writing. If your students have their own indep. reading books - this will work perfectly. The best thing about these plans is that they give students options to choose from (whether on a topic to write about, or a way to respond to their reading)

Subject Area:
7 years of successful teaching in the Public High School system in NYC. While there, I have taught English to 9th, 10th and 11th graders. In addition I have taught courses in SAT Prep, Media Studies. Digital Photography, Screenwriting and Music Theory. Over the years I have developed a reputation for creative lesson plans, passionate instruction, and excellent classroom management skills.
