You're sick and your lessons plans are not on your desk--what do you do? You make sure that this folder is on your desk. Take a minute to get Llama Llama Red Pajama out of your library, copy the handouts and directions include your schedule, class list, bus and lunch routines and that is it! You are ready for that emergency!
Unit includes:
1 reader's response sheet
1 paper/pencil rhyming activity
1 whole group rhyming activity
1 paper/pencil one to one counting to 20 and skip counting by 5's to 100
1 whole group graphing activity with paper/pencil activity
1 pocket chart counting activity
*special note* Test a sheep page on your copier/printer as this sheet is light because of sheep being white. You may need to adjust the copier setting to a shade or two darker.
I love these...not just for the sub, but on days when I feel like we need a boost. It is an excellent break from my regular style, and I don't have to prove that we are learning!
I'll be using it soon for a half-day that I will be off. I have too much going on to sit down and do elaborate plans. This will be a welcome break in the normal routine for the kids. There is so much to do that I doubt the sub will get through it all, but she can pick and choose what she wants to do!
Thanks for the comment! I also dreaded the plans it took to prepare for a sub. Too hard to plan for the sub--not anymore. My sub loves using the plan, especially when she get to use it for another class!

Put in a little time to put it all together but it will be great to have in an emergency.
