This survey is unique! It allows parents to answer anonymously so you can receive honest feedback. In the direction of the survey, I explain to parents they can either send it back to school with their child, or they can mail it in the school addressed stamped envelope. When I send the survey home, I send a school addressed envelope that the families can use. Because I work at a school with mixed families, I always address things like "parent communication" as "family communication."
Some of the statements and questions addressed on the survey are:
- Family involvement was welcomed and encouraged
- Teacher communicated with families
- What things did your child like most about this school year?
Thank you for this! I am on the teacher evaluation committee and we are creating a parent/student survey as a part of our teacher evaluation process. I plan to use some of these ideas, thanks!
