This SMART Board activity gives students an opportunity to practice estimating lengths and amounts by a given amount of a smaller portion. Students can practice their problem solving skills as well. Each slide allows the smaller object to be repeatly duplicated to illustrate the total number. Usually I have students record their estimations on mini dry erase boards at their seats.
