These handouts cover the European explorers: John Cabot, Vasco Nunez Balboa, Juan Ponce De Leon, Christopher Columbus, Jacques Cartier, and Henry Hudson. The questions are designed to encourage students to become good researchers and writers. Students can obtain historical information from their textbooks, their local library, and/or the internet.

This product can be easily incorporated into a unit on early European exploration. The handouts are aligned with Georgia's Social Studies Standards for fourth graders.
