Event Maps are graphic organizers to be used as the first step in writing the Inverted Pyramid News Story. After gathering research and conducting interviews, students input their data onto the Event Map to ensure they have their facts before beginning to write. I require students to get approval from both a student editor and me before beginning their outlines.
