I really liked the patterns from your Hero product. We are having a mini-muster field day this week and I plan to use your templates for a writing activity after. A mini-muster is where the local firefighters come to our school and the students get to practice being a firefighter. They also learn the safety rules in case of a fire in their homes. The importance of having a fire alarm, learning two ways to get out of the house, and the use of a fire extinguisher. Great fun for the students in my class. We do this every year for the second grade students. Your unit is great! Thank you for all your work.

I have taught 1st/2nd grade for 7 yrs(A 1st and 2nd combo for 5 years and a straight 1st grade for 2 years!). I also taught Kindergarten overseas for a year. There is just something amazing about teaching young children. They have so many "light-bulb" moments! I also love being able to influence their characters to become positive and loving citizens of our school, community, nation and world!
