Seller's Description
This is a jeopardy game created in power point that I am using with my Algebra 2 students the first week of school. I will do this with them the third day of school when we have done very little math, and gone over the school rules and expectations. There are some things specific to my school, but most of the questions will apply to any high school math teacher. The questions that are specific to my school can easily be changed to reflect your school or expectations. I found the template for this lesson for free at the following website, but it took me a few hours to enter all the questions for my content area. I included headings such as, geometry, algebraic thinking, number sense, my school, and potpourri. There is a math related final jeopardy question, and this cute template includes the jeopardy theme song, which I plan to have playing when the kids enter the room. I will have the kids get in three groups. Each group will have a score keeper, and each group will have a buzzer. My school is fortunte to have a game show style buzzer system. This is not all about games!! I am activating their prior knowledge while also reinforcing their understanding of current school policies and classroom expectations. The template with out the questions can be found for free at http://jc-schools.net/tutorials/PPT-games/.
