I had the request for all cards to be smaller to attach on an "O" Ring, so...I've included both for your use!
First Set is a 45+ Page PDF File Containing Word Cards for the Expository Text Structures and their commonly used Signal Words
Each Text Structure Featured in this product:
Cause/Effect
Problem/Solution
Goal-Action-Outcome
Compare/Contrast
Concept-Definition
Proposition-Support
-A 2nd set of the same word cards is included in a smaller size and all cards have been changed to be near the same size so as to attach to an O-ring or use in a writing center. (this set is about 35 pages)
Each Text Structure has its own word card title and each set of signal words under a particular text structure has a unique visual border.
Create different diagrams to organize/arrange words under their terms such as you would have your students do on organizer printables. Does this right on your Bulletin Board using these very important signal words for expository text structures! Or, put terms directly on the wall; use word wall every time students compose writing or analyze a piece of writing to determine the author's pattern of writing or identify text structure(s) found within selection.
Students learn to routinely utilize these words in writing and begin to recognize them in passages!

Hello Ann Marie...is there any way of changing the size of your cards...I want to use them on a bulletin board that is above my blackboards...could I some how also change the cards to make them the same size so I can maybe put them on a ring...great resources with endless possibilities

Donna,I'm so glad you find this a great resource. And, yes, ways to use the cards are endless. You've presented an idea for me that I'd like to make available. However, changing the size of the cards will require me to redo the entire product. So, that will take some time. If you are in a hurry for them, I'd suggest making adjustments in printing preferences, maybe? At the point in time that I'm able to make a new version, I'll be happy to add them to my store. If it was a matter of just selecting the objects and resizing, I'd do it right now and email them to you! I'm sorry. I hope this doesn't discourage you at all. It's just that the size in this product is that actual orIginal size and I have no way to do a quick change.

Most of my career spent in 7th - 8th grade English Language Arts; I've been in middle school for 8+ years. Taught 1 year each in K, 2nd, 5th Each has it's perks.
